Our story begins in the Kashmir Valley.

In the late 1930s, my grandfather began his journey in hospitality at the historic Cecil Hotel in Shimla. Years later, my father continued this legacy at Hyatt Hotels before bringing our family from India to Australia.

Today, I, Ankit, proudly carry that tradition forward as the third generation of my family in hospitality. After more than a decade in the industry, learning from renowned chefs around the world and drawing upon the knowledge and experience passed down through generations, I opened a restaurant of my own.

Bombay on Bay is the expression of that journey.

Through our food and hospitality, we bring the flavours of the Indus to Melbourne: a celebration of heritage, family and three generations devoted to the art of hospitality.
